Terms & Conditions – Easybet
Easybet Group (Pty) Ltd is a privately registered company in South Africa (Reg. No. 2022/541017/07), with its head office located at 3rd Floor, 186 Loop Street, Cape Town, 8001. The company holds a valid bookmaker’s licence issued by the Western Cape Gambling and Racing Board.
Easybet Group EC (Pty) Ltd is also a South African registered entity (Reg. No. 2024/745057/07), based at 6 Berea Terrace, Berea, East London, 5241. It operates under a bookmaker’s licence granted by the Eastern Cape Gambling Board.
Together, these entities are referred to as “Easybet”, each operating under separate and valid licences.
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms govern your use of Easybet’s betting services. By opening an account or placing a bet, you confirm that you’ve read, understood, and agreed to be legally bound by these Terms. These include details on account setup, usage restrictions, and your obligations as a customer.
Easybet may update these Terms to comply with legal or business changes. Revised versions will be posted on the website, and it is your responsibility to check for updates periodically. Continued use of the Services means acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Betting Eligibility
To open an account or place bets with Easybet, you must:
- Be an individual (not a company or other legal entity),
- Be 18 years or older,
- Accurately complete the registration form,
- Not be listed on South Africa’s excluded persons register under the National Gambling Act,
- Abide by these Terms and related betting rules.
By registering, you confirm your intention to enter into a legal agreement for betting services on sports, horse racing, and other lawful events.
3. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate personal information during account registration and keep it updated.
- Easybet may approve or reject applications at its sole discretion.
- Applications with incomplete or false information will be declined.
You agree to maintain one account only and not to share your account details. Misuse of account information may lead to termination and forfeiture of winnings. You are responsible for securing your login details and must notify Easybet immediately in case of unauthorized access.
Accounts are accessed using unique login credentials, which may include your mobile number and a password. If login details don’t match registration records, access will be denied.
4. Compliance with FICA
Easybet complies with the Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA) to prevent money laundering and related crimes. Customers must undergo identity verification before account activation. Required information includes:
- Full name
- South African ID or passport number
- Email and mobile number
- Proof of address (no older than 3 months)
- Source of betting funds
Accepted ID documents may include a valid SA driver’s licence, work permit, or refugee/asylum seeker permit, provided they meet Easybet’s documentation standards.
By registering, you authorize Easybet to conduct necessary identity, credit, and compliance checks, and to share relevant data with third-party verification providers as required by law.
5. Deposits
5.1 How to Deposit
Once your Easybet account is set up, you can deposit funds by:
- Logging into your account using your username and password;
- Selecting the “Deposit” option;
- Choosing a deposit method:
- Credit or debit card;
- Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT);
- Payment vouchers;
- Direct bank transfer into Easybet’s bank account (see Clause 6.2);
- E-wallet or other methods made available by Easybet.
For direct bank transfers and similar options, you must provide all required account information.
5.2 Direct Bank Transfers
- Minimum deposit: R20. Deposits under this amount may not be processed until you top up the remaining amount.
- Processing time: 2–3 business days.
- Cash deposits: Accepted at Easybet’s discretion. Bank charges may be deducted from your deposit.
- Minimum cash deposit: R100.
To query a deposit, contact [email protected] and include:
- Date of payment,
- Deposit amount,
- Reference number,
- Your Easybet account number.
5.3 Payment Vouchers
- You must wager the full value of a voucher before withdrawing any winnings.
- Vouchers cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash.
5.4 Third-Party Deposits
If the name on the payment method doesn’t match your Easybet account, the funds will be returned, and your account may be suspended. Easybet may request:
- Proof of ID,
- Bank confirmation documents.
Failure to provide this may result in account termination.
5.5–5.6 Account Balance and Betting
Deposits are held as security for your betting obligations. You may not place bets exceeding your available balance. It’s your responsibility to check your balance before betting.
5.7–5.8 System Errors or Limits
If a system error allows you to bet over your balance, Easybet may:
- Cancel or refund the bet, or
- Adjust your stake without notice.
Easybet may still collect losses on such bets.
5.9–5.13 Additional Deposit Rules
- Your account is updated as bets are placed.
- Only the cardholder may use a credit card to deposit.
- You can deposit at any time.
- No interest is earned on deposits.
- Easybet does not offer credit.
6. Withdrawals
6.1–6.2 How to Withdraw
- Winnings and refunds are credited to your account automatically.
- Withdraw funds by selecting “Withdrawal” and entering your bank details (the “Nominated Account”).
6.3 Account Ownership
- Withdrawals can only be made to a bank account in your name.
- Your withdrawal rights are non-transferable.
- To change your bank details, you must request it and provide proof of the new account.
6.4–6.6 Withdrawal Timing & Charges
- Large withdrawals may be split over several days.
- Withdrawal fees may apply and will be shown in advance.
- You are responsible for ensuring all banking info is accurate. Easybet is not liable for errors you make.
6.7 Easybet’s Right to Verify
Before approving a withdrawal, Easybet may:
- Verify funds are available,
- Decline the request if funds are insufficient,
- Complete the transfer within 72 hours after verification (excluding banking delays),
- Deduct the transferred amount from your balance.
6.8–6.9 Verification Requirements
Withdrawals may be delayed if you owe Easybet money. Before processing, Easybet will verify:
- Your identity (ID or passport),
- Proof of address (utility bill, under 3 months old),
- Banking details (bank statement, under 3 months old if EFT).

6.10 Prohibited Activity
Easybet can investigate your account before processing withdrawals. If suspicious activity is found (as per Clause 11.2), Easybet may:
- Withhold withdrawals,
- Confiscate or recover winnings.
6.11 Playthrough Requirement
If your deposit hasn’t been wagered at least once, Easybet may deny withdrawal requests.Note: Refunds are not available for Easyload, 1voucher, OTT, or Bluvoucher.
6.12 Deposit Errors
If you receive funds in error:
- You must notify Easybet immediately.
- You may not use or withdraw the funds.
- Easybet will recover the funds, and related bets may be voided.
6.13–6.14 Other Withdrawal Conditions
- Withdrawals cannot be processed if no deposit has ever been made.
- A withdrawal will clear your bonus balance to zero.
6.15–6.16 Account and Voucher Conditions
- Your first withdrawal must go to your bank account. After that, you can use eWallet or Celbux.
- Voucher handling fee: If your voucher deposits exceed R15,000/month, a 6% fee applies at withdrawal (e.g., R900 on R15,000). This fee is waived if:
- You wager the amount once on sports/lottery, or
- You wager it three times on live games, slots, virtuals, or Aviator.
7. Recovery of Outstanding Balances
7.1 Debit Balances
If your account has a negative balance due to betting over your limit, you must repay the amount within 3 business days after Easybet sends you a written demand. You can repay by:
- Direct transfer to Easybet’s bank account (include your Easybet account number and send the deposit slip), or
- Authorising Easybet in writing to recover the amount from your credit card.
7.2 Disclaimer
Easybet is not liable for any losses you may incur from this recovery process.
8. Termination
8.1. Easybet shall have the right, prior to accepting any bet, to temporarily suspend or permanently terminate the provision of betting services to a Customer without providing any reason. Upon such suspension or termination:
- Easybet shall, upon the Customer’s request, refund the balance of any funds held on deposit, after adjustments for losses, winnings, and taxes, and once those funds have cleared into Easybet’s bank account;
- Any amounts owed by the Customer to Easybet shall become immediately due and payable.
8.2. The Customer may terminate their contractual relationship with Easybet at any time by giving written notice, provided all betting transactions have been settled and all outstanding amounts have been paid. Easybet will refund any remaining deposit balance, after adjustments for losses, winnings, and taxes, within a reasonable timeframe.
8.3. After termination, Easybet will not accept any further bets from the Customer unless a new registration form is submitted and accepted.
9. Breach
9.1. If the Customer breaches any of these Terms and fails to remedy such breach within 48 hours of receiving written notice from Easybet, Easybet may, without prejudice to its legal rights:
- Terminate the contractual relationship;
- Suspend or cancel any bet placed, whether accepted or not;
- Claim damages.
In such circumstances:
- All outstanding amounts owed by the Customer will become due immediately;
- Easybet may exercise a lien and retain any Customer funds held on deposit until damages are settled.
9.2. A Customer will be deemed in default if:
- They commit an act of insolvency;
- Their estate is sequestrated;
- They attempt a general compromise with creditors;
- They are listed in the register of excluded persons under Section 14 of the National Gambling Act, 2004.
9.3. The Customer shall be liable for all legal costs (on an attorney-client scale), collection charges, tracing fees, and applicable government taxes (including VAT) incurred by Easybet in recovering debts or enforcing its rights.
10. Restrictions on Betting
10.1. Easybet directors, employees, partners, or affiliates are prohibited from placing bets or holding accounts with Easybet.
10.2. Any individual participating in an event on which Easybet offers betting is not permitted to place bets on that event with Easybet.
10.3. Bets placed or accepted in breach of Clauses 10.1 or 10.2 shall be declared void and cancelled.
10.4. Syndicate Betting—where a group of individuals places coordinated bets on the same event or market—is strictly prohibited. Easybet reserves the right to void such bets and withhold winnings, pending investigation outcomes.
11. Void Bets
11.1. Easybet reserves the right to declare any bet fully or partially void if:
- It was placed or accepted due to an error;
- It was accepted under abnormal circumstances, such as technical issues with the Website;
- It resulted from Syndicate Betting;
- The event result was known, unlawfully influenced, or otherwise compromised;
- A subsequent announcement significantly altered the odds;
- It falls under Clauses 4.1, 5.12, 6.7, 7.13, 8.5, 11.2, or 10.3;
- It is affected by uncontrollable events (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, national emergencies) that impact the event or the odds.
11.2. Easybet may void a bet in the event of a malfunction.
11.3. “Malfunction” in this context refers to any technical, operational, communication, or software error occurring on:
- Any device or hardware;
- Betting system, software, or data files used by the Customer;
- Game software operated by or downloaded from Easybet.
A malfunction may:
- Cause games or products to operate contrary to published rules;
- Interrupt the normal functioning of the game;
- Produce abnormal or unintended outcomes.
11.4. Easybet may void a bet at any time, even if:
- The event has been concluded;
- The Customer has received notification that the bet is a winner or that winnings are due.
11.5. For invalid selections in combination bets, the invalid part shall be excluded, and the stake will transfer to the remaining selections at the odds stated.
11.6. Easybet reserves the right to void bets or withhold payments if there is sufficient evidence that:
- The event’s integrity is compromised;
- Odds or betting pools were manipulated;
- Match-fixing occurred or is under investigation.
If a bet is voided, the original stake will be refunded to the Customer.
